VIRTUAL TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS NOW AVAILABLE

In attempts to reduce the spread of COVID-19, McGreevy NeuroHealth will be conducting all follow up appointments by utilizing a video communication platform. This is a FREE service that can be used with a computer, smartphone, or tablet with video and audio capabilities. This will allow our providers to continue providing care while reducing potential exposure to COVID-19. A member of our staff will reach out to you in order to provide the MEETING ID and PASSWORD needed for your appointment.

Below, you will find information on how to use this platform and the steps to take on different types of devices. If further assistance is needed, please contact Angie at (904)230-3006 ext. 112.

Dear Patients of McGreevy NeuroHealth,

First, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to care for your neurological and pain management needs. I consider myself privileged to be in this position.

Second, I want to wish you the safest possible course throughout the current COVID-19 pandemic. In response to the executive order from Governor DeSantis mandating that all elective procedures are prohibited until further notice, we have decided to temporarily close the office to work on other ways of providing care and treatment.

Beginning immediately, we are evaluating existing and new patient visit requests to coordinate a plan that will enable ongoing management of your conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please note that we can still provide and adjust prescriptions when necessary.

We realize your healthcare needs, thus we are working on a virtual way to provide continuity of care in the form of telemedicine during this interim. We are working hard to get this up and running as soon as possible, and will provide education in the form of tutorials. Please check your emails, phone messages and this website for further guidance over the next few days.

Last but not least, due to the expansive nature of this Public Health Emergency, we have taken the initiative to help protect you by ensuring employees of McGreevy NeuroHealth are tested and negative for COVID-19. This will be a process but we feel it is the responsible thing to do under these circumstances. We will monitor when it is safe to bring patients back to the office for follow-ups and treatments face-to-face.

We sincerely thank you for your patience during this difficult time that we are all facing together.

Yours in Health,

Kai McGreevy, MD

McGreevy NeuroHealth

Meet Dr. Kai McGreevy, MD

Dr. McGreevy is a board-certified neurologist and interventional pain management specialist. Not many know that there are only about 100 neurologists who are double board-certified in interventional pain management in the United States. Most general neurologists are not equipped to provide the latest and most rigorous interventions in the field of pain medicine. It is even more uncommon that a neurologist certified in interventional pain management still functions as a general neurologist.  This is what makes Dr. McGreevy unique in treating the entire nervous system.

Storied Career

Dr. McGreevy graduated from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. His career started as a neuroscience researcher at Mayo Clinic, where he published on many aspects of adult neurology, ranging from stroke prevention to the neuropathology of Alzheimer’s disease. He went on to complete pre-medical studies at Harvard University.

Dr. McGreevy furthered his medical training with a neurology residency at the University of California, San Diego. During the rigors of residency training, he continued to publish articles on migraine prevention. He also ran his own clinical trial that examined the safety and efficacy of transforaminal epidurals for chronic lower back pain. He also earned the Golden Neuron Award for Excellence in teaching and patient care.

Neurological Health Featuring Dr. McGreevy

Dr. McGreevy sought further sub-specialization training with an interventional pain medicine fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. While at Johns Hopkins, he was mentored by leading figures, and published numerous peer-reviewed articles on topics ranging from spinal cord stimulation, to painful diabetic neuropathy, and cancer pain.

Dr. McGreevy has presented clinical research at the national level, earning many prestigious awards. While Dr. McGreevy carries expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders, he also provides the most advanced interventional pain management treatments for chronic pain conditions.

Dr. McGreevy stays at the forefront of his chosen subspecialties. Above all, he is a strong proponent of putting patients first, spending time connecting with them and providing compassionate, multidisciplinary care.

Peer-Recognized Neurologist

Dr. McGreevy is board-certified in Neurology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. The American Board of Independent Medical Examiners also certifies his practice. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
